Gary Howerton

Previous to his election to the board of the CPC, Gary had chaired the Walk for Life on two occasions. When the opportunity came to be on the board he looked at it as a chance to be more intimately involved in the ongoing work of a fabulous Christian ministry. Gary said “It is a ministry with the goal of expanding God’s Kingdom and ministering to women in crisis at the same time.”
In addition, Gary’s wife Janet was on the CPC staff many years ago when there were only about four employees and she was very supportive of his involvement.

Gary and Janet are members of Faith Community Church. In past churches to which they have belonged, Gary has been involved in administrative positions, teaching adult studies and leading small groups.

Gary has been employed for approximately 22 years by Lovitt & Touche Inc. a local insurance agency. His special area of focus is property and casualty insurance for a wide variety of human services organizations in the Tucson area. He spends most of his time servicing the continual needs of his clients.
