An Appointment with Hope
“Megan” recently came to The Crisis Pregnancy Centers carrying her three-year-old-son. At 21 years of age, Megan was sure she was once again pregnant. Her pregnancy test was positive and our counselor scheduled an ultrasound to confirm how far along Megan was in her pregnancy.
In the course of speaking with Megan, our counselor learned that family is very important to Megan. She and her boyfriend – the father of her son and unborn baby – had recently moved from Phoenix to Tucson for a better job opportunity and to be closer to family. Megan began looking at the brochures about marriage and its benefits. And when our counselor asked if she could pray, Megan began to cry.
When the counselor had finished praying, Megan asked for a list of churches in the area. God had touched her heart and Megan told our counselor that she wanted to begin attending church. As she left, she called back to the counselor, “Thank you for the prayer. I’m going to get back to church. And I’m going to talk with my boyfriend about getting married. Please be praying for the right time to talk to him.”
Megan will soon be back in our office; this time with her boyfriend. Together, they will see the movements of their unborn baby and hear its heartbeat. We will continue to pray that God nurtures the seed that has already been planted in Megan’s heart. We are eager to see how God will continue to move in her life and the lives of her boyfriend and young son!
