Message in a Minute

He is one of the newest clients we serve at the Crisis Pregnancy Centers. That’s right. I wrote the word, he. It isn’t a typo…

When people hear the words Crisis Pregnancy Centers, they often have a preconceived idea of what our ministry is about. But I’m praying God gives them – and us – new eyes to see the real heart of our ministry!

This young man called the Crisis Pregnancy Centers to ask questions about an abortion for his girlfriend. Our receptionist answered his questions, providing important information about the risks of abortion as well as alternatives. She also took the time to explore the subject of faith and Christ in the conversation.

Because of her sensitivity to God’s leading, the young man made a commitment to Christ right then on the phone!

The ministry of the Crisis Pregnancy Centers is about so much more than preventing abortion. The heart of our ministry is to link the hearts of the hurting with the heart of a loving Savior! In this process, the lives of young men and women – as well as precious babies – are preserved and strengthened.

Obviously, I’m thrilled for the decision the young man made and our ability to connect him with Christian mentors and resources. But I’m just as excited about the role our receptionist fulfilled.

She was simply doing what was before her – namely, answering the telephone. But she allowed God to help her see beyond the routine of her job. In that moment, she saw with new eyes the vital importance of her involvement with the Crisis Pregnancy Centers – and heaven rejoiced as this young man found Christ through her.

What about you? Can you see through heaven’s eyes the value of your life and the role you play in our ministry? I hope so! Every time you pray… each time you give… all the moments you invest into the Crisis Pregnancy Centers… is really an investment into eternity. It’s an investment that is made one moment – and one life – at a time!
