Think Crisis Pregnancy Centers and your mind immediately conjures up images of birthmothers and babies. But see the ministry through new eyes and think again!
A few months ago, Sandy brought her teenaged daughter, Renee, into our Center for a pregnancy test and ultrasound. Renee was pregnant, but decided on adoption with the support of her mother, her boyfriend, and his family. Sandy is a Christian and was praying the baby would be placed in a Christian home.
Through our prenatal clinic, Fountain of Life, we were able to give Renee and her baby the care they needed… and offer support to Sandy. And through our partnership with Christian Family Care Agency, we were able to connect Renee and Sandy with a number of adoptive families – all Christian.
Before long, Renee gave birth to a beautiful baby girl – a child that bears a striking resemblance to the adoptive mother. Sandy has shared that the past few months have been challenging, but knows this precious baby is in a Christian home surrounded by loving parents. She has also taken the time to express her gratitude for the care and support she and her daughter have experienced through the Crisis Pregnancy Centers.
The following is a brief excerpt from a recent letter she sent…
"There are simply no words to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all you did for Renee and me while she was pregnant. You made an extremely emotional, difficult situation so bearable! Knowing she was in your care allowed me to sleep on nights I know I wouldn't have otherwise.
You all are such a wonderful testimony to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - and I can only pray that He blesses you beyond measure! We looked forward to appointments with you- you touched our lives in ways you will never know.”
Sandy recently expressed interest in volunteering at the Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Her personal experience with the compassionate, loving care given to everyone touched by the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy will be a valuable asset to our ministry!
