Message in a Minute

Each day we see women living in the spiritual and emotional hell caused by unplanned pregnancies or the repercussions of a past abortion. It breaks my heart. I see women separated from hope, haunted by shame. And I can’t help but think of our Heavenly Father’s heart and how it must break from their pain.

This Easter season, I think especially of Christ, our wounded Healer. As I see the women we serve so broken and trapped in their personal hell, I gain new understanding of our Savior who descended into hell. There is no pain – no separation – so great that it is beyond Christ’s ability to heal.

It is His scarred hands that we extend, ministering mercy to the broken. His scarred feet form the footsteps we walk in as we search out those standing in the shadows, convinced they are beyond help and hope. And in Christ’s own example, The Crisis Pregnancy Centers is there in the midst of a woman’s personal hell, pointing her to the Savior who emerged from hell holding the keys to new life and new hope.

This Easter, I hope you will remember the glorified Christ who conquered death, hell, and the grave. But I pray you will also remember Christ of Good Friday – the Lord who begged to be spared from the suffering to come… the Savior who groaned in agony… the Son who cried out, “My God, why have you forsaken me?”

It is the women we serve – those who are groaning in their own pain, wondering where God is – that Christ is seeking. And The Crisis Pregnancy Centers is the voice calling them to the loving embrace of a Savior who knows their pain… and has overcome it with healing and hope!

I pray that as you read my words, you’ll hear the voice of our Savior, calling you to share the hope of Easter with the women we serve at The Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Easter hasn’t yet come in their lives. But with your prayers and financial support, this Easter can be a celebration of new life they never thought was possible!

Happy Easter,

John Tabor
Executive Director
