Don’t you love it when God lets you see His answer to prayer? At the Crisis Pregnancy Centers, those answers are usually seen in the eyes of newborn babies and felt in the grasp of their tiny fingers.
For Kathy, the director of one of our centers, seeing this answer was especially meaningful. “I had gone to Reid Park for the National Day of Prayer meeting,” Kathy recalls, “when a young woman carrying a baby came up to me. She stood right in front of me and said, ‘thank you.’”
As Kathy struggled to remember who this young woman was, the new mom continued speaking. “My baby would not have been born if it wasn’t for you and the Crisis Pregnancy Centers,” the young woman explained. “I had already scheduled an abortion but changed my mind after coming to the center and seeing my baby on the sonogram. My baby and I are here today because of you.”
Kathy was overjoyed to become reconnected with this young woman and her baby, the answer to much prayer, now cradled in her arms. As Kathy hugged them both, the young woman continued sharing all that God had done in her life. This new mom has recommitted her life to Christ and is now actively involved in a church fellowship.
What a blessing to see this young woman’s life restored and a beautiful baby born thanks to the prayer and counseling of our tireless staff and volunteers.
